Frequently Asked Questions...

·        What are the new Baggage Rules and Requirements when flying?

Every airline has their own policies and fees, visit our Checking Baggage page for more information. Also, be sure to visit your airline's website for the most up-to-date information.

·        My documents say my room is a "Double", but I requested a king size bed?

This means Double Occupancy, which simply means that your room is a double occupancy, two people. It’s not related to the actual bed in your room.

·     What’s included on most cruises?

Most cruise lines/ships include delicious meals, spectacular entertainment, children programs and the most exciting destinations. Some beverages are included; such as water, juice or milk. Soda cards may be purchased for an additional fee. Alcohol is not included. (Must be 21 years of age or older).
Always ask your travel agent for specific cruise line/ship details.

·     What are the new carry-on restrictions?

3-1-1 for carry-ons = 3 ounce bottle or less (by volume); 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. One-quart bag per person limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring. 3 oz. container size is a security measure. (Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed.)
Consolidate bottles into one bag and X-ray separately to speed screening.
3-1-1 is for short trips. If in doubt, put your liquids in checked luggage.
Declare larger liquids. Medications, baby formula and food, breast milk, and juice are allowed in reasonable quantities exceeding three ounces and are not required to be in the zip-top bag. Declare these items for inspection at the checkpoint.
Come early and be patient. Heavy travel volumes and the enhanced security process may mean longer lines at security checkpoints.
There are exceptions for baby formula, breast milk, and other essential liquids, gels, and aerosols, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines. For further and up to date details, please visit www.tsa.gov.

·     Which documents do I need to enter the Dominican Republic?

If you are an American citizen, after January the 1rst 2007, you will need a valid passport and a  tourist card that can be purchased at any airport in the Dominican Republic for a cost of US$10.00.
