A Survivor Story
Dalton Gray, the agency owner's son, was diagnosed with stage IV gastric cancer in January of 2023. After 9-rounds of chemo and immunotherapy at the highest dose humanly possible, he achieved a near complete response and was a candidate for surgery. In June 2023, he underwent a partial gastrectomy and HIPEC - a state of the art surgery, which removed all evidence of disease. Dalton lived 5 disease-free months accompanied with periodic and clear CT scans, which confirmed the prognosis.
The Battle Continues
The day after Christmas, he went to the ER to investigate strange symptoms. The CT showed a blockage in his small intestine. Initial biopsies were negative for malignancy; however, another surgery was necessary to fix the complication, which is a common instance after the intensive surgery Dalton endured in June. He woke up to devastating news - the blockage had to be bypassed because the cancer was back.
Living with Cancer
After a 2-week hospital recovery and a few weeks of travel to the top medical systems in the country, Dalton returned to treatment in February of 2024 and is managing symptoms well. As Dalton moves along with treatment, he will return to MD Anderson in Houston to receive routine CT scans to check on progress. For now, MD Anderson is working in the background on extensive genetic testing, so they can match potential clinical trials for Dalton's case and offer additional treatment options, which are only available at facilities like MD Anderson.

Fine Print
The prize is a 3-night, all-inclusive stay at Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa. Round-trip, airport transfers to and from the resort are included and sponsored by 4 Moons Travel. Airfare is not included. Accommodations are for two adults in the lead in room category. Winner can choose to upgrade to a higher room category upon check in, at an additional cost. Winner can also bring additional guests for additional charge. Blackout dates include, but are not limited to, Thanksgiving, Easter, Christmas, New Years and Presidents Day. Reservations must be made a minimum of 30 days prior to travel for May through December. Travel must be completed by December 31st, 2024. The reservation must be booked through 4 Moons Travel to obtain the certificate required at check in. Certificate is non-transferable, holds no cash value and cannot be extended.
