Manzanillois a municipality and city in theGranma ProvinceofCuba. By population, it is the14th largest Cuban cityand the most populated one not being a provincial seat.It is aportcity in theGranma Provincein easternCubaon theGulf of Guacanayabo, near thedeltaof theCauto River. Its access is limited by thecoral reefsofCayoPerla.
Founded in 1784,Manzanillo is also home of the medical science faculty of theUniversity of Granma.
